Session Info & Rates

Let me be very clear, my goal is NOT to be the cheapest photographer you ever worked with. My goal is to give you the best quality of photos AND experience you ever had.

For that reason, I will normally only book up to 2 sessions per day.

I do this so you essentially get all the time we need for our shoot. While the session is booked for 2 hours we can always extend the session if needed and we can discuss the terms. For the most part, we can get a headshot session done within 2 hours with amazing results.

There are many factors that come into play to get a great Headshot. Great lighting, posing and composition of the shot is crucial to have excellent results. Still, the most important part is the expression. On a Headshot there are no background elements like on an outdoor portrait to distract the viewer, it is only you as the start of the show thus getting a great expression is the key.
So in order to get all those elements right, I rather limit the number of customers in a day so I want for my work and you desire for your photos.

Like they say "Quality over Quantity"..that is how I go about my sessions.

My goal is that when our session is over, you have plenty of photos you love from where to choose from instead of not finding any results you like only because we ran out of time. It takes time to get the right expressions, and that's because getting your headshot taken can make people feel uncomfortable. I have been there myself so I understand the pressure of being in front of the camera.

The expression we want is confidence and approachability. Now some times we might get that quickly, which is great, or it might take a little longer to get there, but that's fine too because we're not clock watching. So either way, we've still got plenty of time to do all of those outfit changes, etc. we want to do. (there's no limit on outfit changes/looks).

Now I know from my own experience when I was in front of the camera I wanted someone to tell me what to do not just press a button so

I'll be coaching you throughout the session on everything you need to know. Expression, angles, positioning, hair, all of the stuff which you don't need to worry about.

The aim of the session is to get some great shots, and I'll spend as little or as long as it is needed in order to get them. Photography is my passion, so I'm in no rush to finish our shoot. As well as confidence and approachability, in your headshot, you need to look relaxed, competent, like you're in control of the situation. If you don't look like that, then your headshot could be doing you more harm than good. It's all about the subconscious, and the first impression people subconsciously feel when they see our headshot. We get this perfect mix of confidence and approachability by having some fun with it.

As the session is tethered to a Laptop so you can see the results as we work, from time to time we we'll stop and look at some images we've taken, so you can see what shots you prefer and if there's anything you want to change, we can do it on the spot.

Having fun in a relaxed atmosphere is what lends to getting the expressions you need from your headshots.

At the end of the session, we'll sit down and review all of the images we shot. From there, you'll pick your favorite shots to be professionally edited and retouched, I'll give as much or as little input as you like on what the best shots are, it's sometimes nice to have an opinion other than our own in what we look like

.As well as the high-resolution JPEGs, I'll also make sure you receive the same shots that are custom size and crops for social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram as each of those require specific sizes and format to look their best. That'll save you the trouble of re-sizing and cropping the shots after you receive them.
I can also prepare any photo you want to print at the specific size and aspect ratio you desire at no extra charge.

Rates

The studio-based headshot session fee is a flat 125 This Includes;

2 Hour session with the option to expand if desired during the shoot.

Shoot Preparation Package Before Your Session (includes pre-session video recommendations, Styling & Wardrobe Suggestions, Hair & Makeup Suggestions, etc)
One on One Post Session Advice For Image Selection
My goal is to deliver a 5 Star Experience so that you not only get the amazing shots you are looking for but also have fun creating them!

At the end of the session, we'll sit down together and go through the images. Your final images are chosen individually at the end of the session. This puts you in complete control of the final cost depending on how many images you require. ($25 per image inc. professional base retouching)

I don't want you to pay for more than you need, and every person has different needs, not packaging images together makes sure you're not over committing or under committing in terms of how many images you require from the session. You can simply decide on the day.
